  • Hey if any of you internet savy folks know how to post a video response in these comments can someone please submit this one for me?

  • Check it out. Our student Curtis Johnson works an Omoplata, Kensei Sato puts together a nice combination and Sterling Nitsuma and Dan Berry use these fundamentals to KO their opponents in this clip:

Some people might complain about how simple the straight right and basic theory is, but you can't beat the fundamentals. KISS

  • I'm a huge fan of your material, videos, and presentation methods. I found this particular video, while informative, not up to snuff of your usual content or presentation. Stressed?

(btw: liked the old intro audio better as well)

    Still subscribed, love your stuff!

  • @ShinkaTV, interesting comments. I'm not sure what you mean by "the old intro audio". Could you maybe go into more detail? We like to make improvements where we can. Sorry this video didn't meet your expectations. Maybe the other 3 free videos on the subject will be more to your satisfaction. You can see them as well as read a breif article on the topic at DamageControlMMA,com/how-to-fight-a-southpaw/

  • im lucky i can fight southpaw and orto

  • Ok, what I have to say ONLY applies to street fights. In a real fight, this is literally the worst possible thing you can do. You are guaranteed to get kicked in the groin successfully against anyone with the concept of using the lead leg as a weapon. Can't possibly stress it enough. That's all.

  • I love videos like this teaching ortho guys how to deal with southpaws. Why? Because I am a southpaw, and it's great when I see everyone you using strategies like this against me. Here's the deal, as a SP, I too have been taught to stay to the outside, but it's crap; I circle to the INSIDE because I know that draws out your rights. When Ido that, takes away the surprise of when they come and I can counter better. Try it, with timing. You'll do better than the old circle to the outside method.

  • Southpaws give me headaches!!!

  • it really sound like he's like um, um um um i dont really know what the hell im really doing. But this should work. The only way to fight a southpaw is to fight southpaws. Learn to fence.

  • i hate southpaws....

  • CAN SUM1 PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS I JST DONT GET IT

IF HIS POWER SHOT IS IN YOUR WAY,YOUR POWER SHOT IS IN HIS WAY HAS WELL,It like a mirrior, left hook is throw the same and so is the jab

  • What foot do I place Inside or outside if I am Boxing a right hander or if its two lefties who puts what foot where ?

I bet these questions mess with your mind !

The whole thing about ALWAYS KEEP YOUR FOOT OUTSIDE THE SOUTHPAW is WRONG ... How do you cut the ring on a fighter if you always keep your foot in the same place ?

How does latteral movement work for you with this SOUTHPAW reciept for disaster ? How long before the Southpaw figures you out if you ALWAYS KEEP ANYTHING ?
