The process of steam casting at home, it was my first time and succesfull. Notes the sprue base needs to be no taller than 1/2 high made of playdough tapered sides and flat on top and 1/4" of room around the whole thing inside where the can is for the plaster to fill in. You need 3/4" 8 guage wax wire for the sprue and then on the last 1/4" you split it in half. This is the most important part so make sure this is done the same. The sprue at the end cut in half causes surface tension which makes it possible to steam cast.
