We need a coalition if we want to have any chance of being successful intervening in Syria. We already wasted trillions of dollars in Iraq invading without international approval. I agree Matt that the US should not invade anybody. Bush DID have congressional approval to invade Iraq withy good reason; We should NOT invade Syria. Which side would we help? Obama is sending multiple millions to the rebels. Assad is a ruthless dictator but, he is far better than the muslim rebels. Russia is supporting Assad. The President of the United States, DOES NOT have the express ability to commit this country to war WITHOUT the permission to do so by the Congress of the United States! It is called the War Powers Act. The blatant arrogance of the current administration can be seen here in Panetta's testimony. This is very dangerous behavior. Why? If the Prez. thinks he can wage war at will, what makes you (the public) think that he can't or won't call for an emergency draft to fill the ranks?
