This answer to your question is just my opinion but, now I don't think it's normal. I think that the Mother is indulging herself and should be responsible enough to wean this school age child from the breast to a cup right away if not sooner. It's not teaching him anything nor is it increasing his IQ. He needs to be taught that there comes a time when you don't drink from a bottle nor a breast. He sit at a table and eat and drink with others who are old enough to do it.
