On Saturday, October 29th hundreds of activists from Occupy DC K Street braved the rain and freezing temperatures to demand that Wall Street speculators and the big banks--the folks who brought us the global financial crisis--pay their fair share to ensure the needs of the 99% are met.

The march for a "Robin Hood Tax" (also know as the financial transaction tax) went to Bank of America, the US Treasury, and the White House.

It was part of a national day of action with events from NY, Des Moines, and Seattle to Toronto, Canada, Aukland, NZ, and beyond.

From affordable healthcare to public universities to green jobs to AIDS drugs for Africa, essential services are being cut. And there's a simple solution: demand the banks and speculators pay this tiny tax...
