Not familiar with the "key tough" setting, what is it? I'm pretty sure that my digital piano doesn't have it.

Same question here. I've been using the middle (sostenuto) pedal to sustain just the bass note, but don't know whether that is correct, but it seems that would correspondent to the sheet music.
