where are you getting your information from?have you ever driven one? there has never been in anything wrong with the SLR's brakes if anything this car has the most breaking power of any production the only critisism it got was that the breaks lacked in feel jeremy described them as being either on or off.
i wonder if they fixed the brakes? in the other one, if u wanted to slow down not stop, yopu couldn't rly feel the brakes. yay! they took the plastic out!.
