Borderlands is sooooooooooo different now.

I really don't see why developers waste so many resources on producing pre-rendered trailers years before the game's released.

There's always a reason; they don't do it and not know why. If a company can build hype around a game, they will have better chances finding a publisher if they get dropped, or if they haven't found one to begin with. If more people are excited, their budget might go up. This is one of the best ways to do that.

Maybe you should actually DO the quests yourself and actually pay attention to the npcs and what they're saying aye?
