Two women sit around and have tea while discussing each others ages. Why on Earth these two women are at this particular table at this place and time without knowing each other isn't really important, I suppose, but I digress. They get into how young their hands look despite constant dish-washing duty. They explain how Ivory soap keeps your hands fresh and young, like Mrs. Robert Shutan's hands (strangely in this commercial she doesn't have her own name even though her husband isn't anywhere to be found)
I love old advertising and believe these commercials have historical significance in our consumer culture. I'm posting this for educational purposes. You can find more commercials on my YouTube channel or at http://www.bestoldcommercials.com
If this stuff was so great, why didn't women soak their faces in it?

These two women are sitting together having coffee or tea and don't know each other? How did that meeting get arranged? "Hi, I don't know you, but can I come to your house and have some coffee and/or tea?" And why is the blonde claiming that she sometimes lies about her age? How do we know she's not lying when she says she's 23? Maybe she's 33, who knows? Bizarre people here.
