Typical. You lose an argument and call everyone that disagrees with you 'closed minded'. Do you understand what happens with profit? Do you understand that tax increases most often get rolled into the price of the goods/services and we all end up paying more for everything? How much is enough?

This video isn't taken out of context, and we conservatives are not being closed minded, we just like to look at all facts in the argument, not just say that if we were in that position it would be fine by us.

I don't understand how this all turned into a taxes conversation.  The video is out of context and is wrong, end of conversation. I am bored with fear or greed guided hypotheticals, it was silly of me to comment in a closed minded thread. Peace.

Gross VS Net. Employee pay come out of gross, gross is the total amount of money a company makes. Businesses and self-employed persons pay tax on their net income which is the profit after all costs.

Even if we taxed businesses at 100%, we still wouldn't have enough money for our current amount of spending, not to mention the economy would go to hell and mobs would form in the streets.

Think about it. Pay comes out of profit. If a business doesn't make a profit, it cannot pay its employees, as it doesn't have money to pay them with. I do not know about you, but I believe most Americans rather like getting paid for their work.
