A winery such as Napa Valley's Spottswoode is what excites me about being back in California and rating the best wines of my home state. I visited with one of the owners, Beth Novak Milliken, as well as her winemaker, Jennifer Williams, and I was impressed with their mellow approach to organic viticulture and fine winemaking.
