Binding the target to a twisted, gnarled, knotted tree is one of the oldest ways to bind. Adding something rotten, cheese, rotting shrimp, fish, (...etc?) is useful. For the worst cases, open up and while divining ask a deceased enemy of the target if they will go to work on them. Bury the bound and gagged subject under the foot of the targets enemy on their gravesite. Throw a party for the spirit who helped. Don't forget to purge/cleanse, envoke something positive, put up protection..

I do binding spells for healing.my friend has scoliosis. her spirit animal is the deer. there are a lot of deer in my area so naturally, finding deer bones is easy . i found a deer vertibrae and blessed iti got some golden ribbon and i weaved amber and citrine chips into it. i tied the ribbon around the vertibrae with a bit of her hair ( which she had shed onto my couch.) and put it in the back of a yarn poppet which i then bound to my spellwork tree with a prayer to apollo written on a bay leaf

How can I make a person go away withouth taking away their hability to protect themselves from other people who try to harm them? Binding seems to be a little... hmmm... I feel like If I do this to them they won't be able to fight back If they have to, other persons, not me of course... =P

Why is it that some traditions have such an aversion to salt?

@Butterflygirl1871. They believe it offends spirits.

Great vid., Birch! Though, I am researching herb-lore more extensively, and I was wondering why you decided to use cleavers? I'd love to look into it's established magical associations, if I can...something that I can cite if possible! All my best...

@MacMorrighan. Cleavers r pretty classic . I think Cunningham had it. Due to the clingy nature of the plant I believe.
