Heinz - Just like Eddie 1992

Released 1963

Heinz Burt (born Heinz Henry Georg Schwartze,
24 July 1942, in Detmold, Germany. Died 7 April 2000, in Weston, Hampshire, UK), and mainly publicised by his first name, was a bassist and singer.

His biggest solo hit was "Just Like Eddie" (# 5 in UK), a tribute to his fellow rock and roller, Eddie Cochran. Before he went solo in early 1963, he was previously a member of The Tornados.

Oooh-oohh-oohhh...

Whenever I'm sad, whenever I'm blue
Whenever my troubles are heavy
Beneath the stars I play my guitar
Just like Eddie

Oooh-oohh-oohhh...

Now, troubles may come and troubles may go
But you'll always find me ready
Upon the hill, playing still
Just like Eddie

Oooh-oohh-oohhh...

Whenever you're sad, whenever you're blue
Whenever your troubles are heavy
Beneath the stars you play your guitars
Just like Eddie

Oooh-oohh-oohhh... Come on everybody!

Now, troubles may come and troubles may go
But you'll always find me ready
Upon the hill, playing still
Just like Eddie

So, whenever you're sad, whenever you're blue
Whenever your troubles are heavy
Beneath the stars you play your guitars
Just like Eddie

Oooh-oohh-oohhh... Come on everybody!

Oooh-oohh-oohhh...

  • @paulhamerton1 Yes, I really am, and all the troubles that go with, as such. You knew him or of? Anyhow, I don't know from that video those audience, especially the young ones, they may not have been familiar with his music. I've heard just a few of his music/song and I 'm mystified as to why they didn't climb up the charts, they're quite catchy tunes.

  • Heinz worked like a trooper.. this performance is not his best but he was an ill man by this point in his life, the mere fact he is there at all is a tribute to his professionalism. He may not have been the best, but he gave it his best shot.. what more can you ask of anyone?

  • That picture of the cop in the background is from the Moby Grape's album, True fine Citizen. He was the security at the recording studio they were at when they recorded it.
