@bigoldfashen What does that make me? It means it makes us children of God and followers of Jesus Christ. When he says I am yours, it means He is in the family of God now because He believes in Christ and is following Jesus for eternity.

I just went to a new church for the first time tonight and the band played this song first and they're version was amazing, I had never heard it before and I think they're version was better but it's an amazing song.

What??? Are we really singing a worship song about ourselves? Wow! We certainly are purposeful creations of God but we are also full of a sin nature and have tarnished what was a glorious creation with our selfish ways.
"What does that make me?"
It makes me, us, someone that took a glorious creation and covered it with sin. This song is more about sinful human beings than it is our perfect Savior.
Just something to think about.

Thank you for the reminder. This is all glory to God. That's why you're seeing Praise the Lord etc. in the comments. I would hope nobody here is worshiping self. For examples of some that do watch my new Oprah and Eckhart videos.
Even in this world of death and decay "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."
And Psalm 139:14 "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
