  • @kangadillo: If there was any way Rudy could know about your "Work of Art" series of videos, I think he would be touched. Given that he loved fine art and music, he would have loved them!

  • @MissGoldenDreams13 That is the best compliment I've ever had on these videos, the thought that Rudy would love them, because I made them to honor him. Thank you so much.

  • @MissGoldenDreams13

Valentino is very much alive, just on another plane beyond death.

  • @ccipollini1984 That's entirely possible.

  • This is something that a lot of people say but it's very true. Nobody and I mean NOBODY in any capacity could play Valentino. It can't be done. He has a magic quality that is seldom seen in people and so many actors nowadays have the looks, but not the substance. Valentino (I hate when people call him Rudy) was one of those incredibly rare creatures only seen in the bluest of blue moons and can't be close to imitated by any of the substandard actors floating around these days. Even Johnny Depp.

  • @kangadillo

It's not even a question to my mind . He was very spiritual and open minded.

  • @Lovingsundays Depp is in his mid-40's, which is why I wish someone had thought of this idea sooner. Rudy was only 18 when he came to the U.S. God, if only he'd had chidren, maybe he'd have a great-grandson who could play him. Some actors have played Rudy, including Franco Nero, and another guy who played him in a musical about his life. The reviews always said the same thing - "good actor, handsome, but lacks Valentino's charisma." In other words, his soul, which can't be imitated.

  • @kangadillo Yes Depp could do it but he is getting a bit mature now and not sure if he would smoulder in the love scenes like Rudy. But definitely Johnny has that magnetism and he is lovely. I would love to see a new biop as you say all we have is that horrible Ken Russell film 'Valentino' Ed Westwick from Gossip Girl has qualities there is a pic of him dressed in 1920s style clothes and I think he could do a Rudy. But they would have to dance make love and all the rest tall act to follow!

  • @Lovingsundays I was watching "Sleepy Hollow" on TV, starring Johnny Depp, and I think Depp could play Rudy, if anyone decided to do a biopic. Depp's the only actor I can think of with enough beauty and charisma and sweetness (although not as much as Rudy) to do it. The 1977 film by Ken Russell starring Rudolf Nureyev was horrible and an insult to Rudy. Someone should make another one and this time do a better job.
