Nissan's all electric Leaf will be available in California at a lease rate of less than $200 per month and is equipment with five doors, seating for five passengers AND can go 90 miles per hour! Check out the smart instrument panel that automatically finds re-charging stations.
@cyberpine According to Nissan, it cost less than $3 for full charge and it goes 100 mile with full charge so assume that you go to work 5 days a week than it would be 20 day a month, 800 mile X $3 = $24. $24 is your monthly gas (or electric fee) theoretically.
My favorite comment: no trouble with acceleration, so if you want to pass on the highway...just the idea that an electric car can pass on the highway makes me very happy!!! Can't wait to get one of these!
wow. I'm driving a big/heavy truck with a modest work commute (40 miles round trip).. at $4.00 a gallon regular my monthly gas bill in the truck is around $250/month... what do you think my monthly electrical fuel cost for this car might be?
I only wish it looked a little sportier.. maybe like the Hundyai Concept car Curb.
