tbh TJ scares me a little, but i listen and process wat he says anyways cuz hes got rlly good points. lol

@tstruss912 Please give an example of which dangerous tenet of individualism he's mocking. Also, I'm not saying I'm hugely into individualism; I just recognize that TJ has no fucking idea what he's talking about in this video.

@holycow818181 Wrong, because he isn't criticizing what I believe. He isn't actually criticizing individualism at all. What he's critical of is closer to anarcho-primitivism. You and he don't understand what either of these words mean because you couldn't spend five minutes on Wiki-fucking-pedia to inform yourselves before you mindlessly circlejerked your misinformed stance on the subject off of each other.

@IJUSTLOVETURTLES Individualism is an offshoot of conservative thinking/framing. It has many decent tenets, and also has many dangerous ideas that deserve to be mocked. This video mocks some of those. Don't be such a pussy about it. Your little ideology is not the end-all-be-all--it's just another way of living that's good in moderation.

I love TJ. Love 90% of the things he says, and have every single one of his videos. That 10% is mainly uneducated misunderstanding. Unfortunatley, TJ's obvious inteligence is often guided by his emotions, hate and anger, not logic and knowledge. His double standards are unbelieveable.

Every single comment: "TAA criticized something I believe. Therefore, he doesn't understand it!"

This video is one giant strawman. You don't even pretend to have a clue what individualism is. Could you at least have looked up the word "individualism" before you took the time to make a video trying to bash it? You look like a complete moron.

We have a few people in Sweden who are extreme 'off griders'.

@TheMoriMaster He was referring to people who claim to be individualists, he understands what it is, but that doesn't mean that the majority of people who claim to be one ARE one. Also, you're the one who doesn't seem to understand individualism, as it, quote (And yes, I got this from Wikipedia, before you even ask) "opposes most external interference upon one's own interests, whether by society, family or any other group or institution" and using money is not very self-reliant...
-
@TheMoriMaster Well, I believe that TJ was talking about people who claim that "they're individuals and they are not a part of the system", who as well don't know what an individual is.
But yes, individuals and hippies are not the same, I agree with you on that point.
"I will define individualists as 'people who think for themselves.'" -TAA

I don't think this person understands what individualism is. Individualism is not survivalism or escapism nor is it a nuance of either. Individualism simply holds that people should be free to make their own decisions for themselves (instead of the collective action motivated by force) and ought to be self-reliant. And he also doesn't seem to understand money either, seeing as he thinks one is not being self-reliant when one trades with others using money.
