I actually really anticipated that this is what's gonna happen. Then I was like "Nah, fuck this shit!". My volume was actually pretty low and it still banged my eardrums. Needless to say, I didn't dare sleep without some music playing from my computer that night.

@MUSEfan0013 I found the scene when the phantom does this face scarier, but I do agree that it's frightening!

@Loffeleif Not quite as bad as when the phantom does it though... lol

i knew i was going to scream before i screamed. i d gone through 40 years worth of lynch films without jumping and then" wtf is that, oh shit its gonna be scary... JESUS TAKE THE FUJKING WHEEEEEEEEELL!!!!!

David Lynch is a specialist of twisted faces. :O
(in all his movies there is such motive)

it's not even the image that is scary, just the sound
Watched this alone at night with surround speakers. I'm usually good detecting screamers, but this caught me off guard.
But it's really frigging clever. Just as you notice something's up with her face, she speeds into a horrifying close-up.
I was like "Here comes a screamer, I know it...wait, why is her face all- HOLY FUCKING SHIT"

That's the most frightening scene of this film... I stayed petrified for at least 30 seconds, I could'nt control my chilling...
