If your computer video card doesn't work anymore, chances are that you have blown capacitors. This is actually an easy repair that you can do by yourself. I bought my capacitors at an Electronics Supply Story. All you will need is a soldering iron, solder, and the replacement caps. Radio shack might even carry what you need.

  • dude u hit the spot of my problem .. i love u bro

  • @nikoy122 I was really happy myself when I fixed my video card. Who knew that changing these caps is not so hard. Take Care :)

  • and how long did it worked? i think the quality of aftermarket caps cant be samme as the default ones,,

  • @daDfarSpanTaistheKin Well it is still working, although I built myself a new computer in January and retired my old one.

  • my graphics card also displays the same grabbled text ,, i had earlier repaired it by heating the gpu main chip with heat gun and it worked ,, but it is now again exhibiting the same problem,, all my caps looks fine and flat ... what should i do?

    its mvidia fx 5200 ultra..

  • @daDfarSpanTaistheKin Sounds like you have a micro soldering issue and if the heat gun or oven trick don't fix it, then you might be screwed.
