So this can help get rid of that snapping grinding around shoulder blade trap area?
-
i have one question and please help me with it: both my left and right blades are kind of popping out, so i don't if they're winged. i can control it and make it wing out when i want to, ever since i was a kid. but i thought that it might be damaging so i stopped doing that long ago. I don't feel anything, no pain, nothing. it's just annoying to have my shoulder blades popping out because it looks weird when i wear shirts.

If you get this on one shoulder only, from a sudden overhead movement/pulling/straining, is it likely to be temporary, once the muscles heal and strengthen from the injury?
-
i hope i can correct my winged scapula, how long does it take to correct?

X Back Posture Correx is a new dynamic back brace that is m favorite back brace out there. Check it out!

I've had winged scapula since I was a child. Do you know if these exercises only work if the injury was recent?

I have winged right scapula. My right shoulder is also internally rotated. I guess this is a legacy of my time in the college boxing team. I had been doing simple shoulder stretches for the past few weeks. I will try these exercises soon. I hope they work for me.

Wow you're sexy!
hey is it bad if my right blade is well poking out more than my left (they both poke out a lot jsut right pokes more).

@sithhill Means the muscular imbalance is worse on the R, probably because (I'm guessing) you're right-handed.

Exercises, repeat 12-15 times. For stretches, hold for 30 seconds, 3-5 times on each side. I wouldn't do them every day; 2-3 times a week should suffice.
The winging will go away eventually as you strengthen your serratus anterior and stretch your pectoralis minor. It seems to me that some people are more susceptible to this problem than others, though, so maybe some physiologies are predisposed to it.
