HK USP .45 Full Size VS Compact - Recoil Comparison

A recoil comparison between the HK USP .45 full size and the compact. Hk has an awesome recoil reduction system. You forget you're shooting .45's. Both guns are solid. Shot just slightly better with the compact. Compact only holds 8 rounds to the 10 of the full size (in CA). Highly recommend both HK USPs in .45. If you don't have one, buy one.

No jams, no mechanical complications, no compromise.

I also have to make note of the "Hostile Environment" finish that Hk puts on all their guns (sans stainless). I did a fight scene for a feature film last month. Had my Hk USP .45 in it's holster while I was punched, kicked, thrown through the wall, and thrown to the ground. When I got home I took a look at my gun an noticed a huge white scratch across the top rear of the slide near the sights. I though I took a chunk out of my fav gun.
Since then I've been to the range more than a few times. Took a look at it yesterday, and the scratch was almost gone. I realized I hadn't taken a chunk out of my gun, my gun took a chunk of whatever it was that I hit. The gun still looks new.

I use to carry a USP 9mm Compact, but since moving to Japan I can not longer own sidearms .. God I miss my guns!

Actually the only one who can really tell its the shooter, but i saw the full with a little less recoil, but for being .45 they both have little recoil, awesome guns!

hard to tell...BTW, as much as I love the USP in 45, It's just such a massive brick that I could never carry it comfortably I think!!

I got one of the 1st usp's off the line, per the serial number. So its 16y.o. and has likely had considerable use; I have no round count since I'm not the only owner of this weapon. Point is, its STILL an AMAZING AMAZING gun!! The pistol I've always wanted and it lives up to all the wait and hype! I was 8y.o when this gun was made and it still functions perfect! 600 rounds through and not one jam or hang up! God's gun! Oh, its a full size .45 too, just for reference.

the larger the usp the larger and more efficient the recoil reduction system works, i own 9mm's that have more recoil then my usp .45
