  • Thank for sharing, i do the samething for portrait, i just want to know, what material do you use to make grid on canvas? GRAFITTI, CHARCOAL, or PASTEL, or COLOUR PENSIL.....cause my problem is, when i over painting in oil, grid seems to not desapear so easily, i have to make it really thick. I hope you can help me..!!

  • @nickfingers I honestly only use the grid method for drawing occasionally and to demonstrate how to use it. If you are painting the grid will disappear, and that is what you want actually. Do what I did to make a grid and sketch out an outline of your drawing on the canvas, and then when you go to paint you will not have to worry about this.

  • think ya really sweet

  • I use the gird for portraits! I do plenty of free hand work but nothing beats the grid for portraits and other photo-realisim that you want to get exact proportions on.
