Steves 40 high is looking great. I have always liked that tank and it was actually setup in my old office videos way back. Trimming plants is essential with some species and ludwigia will tank you with good looks when you trim it back. Love the Emperor Tetras in that tank as well. Solid steve

  • Hey guys,

    Question&Suggestion:

Steve plants the cut off pieces without removing the bottom leaves, won't it rot in your substrate?

For the hex tank I recommend species like Microrasbora Kubotai , Rasbora Briggitae/Maculatus/Micros/Merah, Rasbora Galaxy is also stunning! You can keep a small school, I wouldn't go bigger. Also the Ember Tetra, Hyphessobrycon Amandae, they would look better with a darker substrate though. In my vid you can see them in my 5 gl shrimp/fish tank.

    Take care!

    Joey

  • Hey, nice vid there! i want to ask that when setting up a dirt thank. Do i have to wash the dirt? or just leave it alone?

  • I think the tank is a 37g TALL tank iv had a few it looks nice tho

  • Can you provide links to a scientific study that iron brings out reds?

  • so you dont need to cut the part that has the roots are coming out ?
