  • I agree with the rest of the folks. When I saw this live the crowd nearly jumped out of their seats when Jinx "breaks free" in the last verse. The applause was almost deafening. The "change" here was so unnoticeable that the crowd did not respond (at least there was no sign of applause). Other than a little bit of volume and extra hand motions, the performance remained the same. No climax. Other than that, the singing was quite pleasant. Nicely done!

  • @gamerboy54 Agreed. Bad choice of directing. Jinx is WAY too confident at the beginning of the song. That's what makes the climax so beautiful and at the same time, comedic. Because it's in such contrast to the beginning.

  • Why didnt he put any sort of softness into this song?? Every time i hear it. the tenor is very light...he was so blatant

  • This is good! I remember seeing this live at the Whitby Courthouse Theatre. Todd Appleton is not only really good, he is super nice in person. I got to meet the cast because i'm part of the youth group there. Yes, I agree with gamerboy541, but what dentisttenor said is true.

  • Nice singing,good job.

  • Thanks for your comment. We played this scene a little differently. Scared and gripping the mic at the start but then breaking free in the last verse. If the video went on further, you would see that the applause shocks Jinx out of his "performance haze" and after checking to see that his nose isn't bleeding, is all smiles, proud and confident that he got through his song. Completing the song really changes him. Just another take on the direction. Thanks again for complimenting my singing.

  • your singing was wonderful but there was no acting in this. this is supposed to be the song where jinx breaks out of his shell. he starts scared and quiet and by the last verse he is overflowing with confidence. the emotion was he same all the way through here. again, nice voice but put some feeling in it.

  • FABULOUS! Johnnie would be proud... Bravo!
