@BereanBeacon1 We are seeing the fruits of most Christians today that do not abide in Christs commandments ie obey Him. People throw gifts away all the time. Those who do bear bad fruit. Those branches that bear no fruit and bad fruit will be cut off.

@ricplay7890 Wrong about Acts 15. You could NOT be saved unless to were circumcised (vs.1) and that's adding a law to faith. Read vs. 29, where it reads they "shall do well. Fare ye well". So, what would happen if they did not do all that was written in Acts 20 and 29? Of course they would lose there salvation according to you, but it was a secret to those Gentiles. Adding laws after salvation to keep it, nullifies the FREE GIFT.

It is a fatal error to confuse legalism with "abiding in His love"

We cannot accept the call to salvation and then NOT abide in the Love of God, and expect to go to heaven.

The Bible is quite clear on "how" we do so:

we "KEEP His commandments" (1st John5:3)

(acts 15 was a fight against imposing JEWISH law on the new converts (you know that).

Yet if you look carefully, there were four stipulations by which the gentiles WERE to abide by: see verse 20)
