I think many Black really need to wake up and realize that we're the ones that's feeding into the racism that is brought against the Black community. Now that most Blacks feel the need to call each other "Nigga" and feel comfortable even calling themselves the same... That is a great excuse for non-Blacks to feel they have the rights to also call you a Nigga (er). We're in the year 2010 and still acting over sensitive when called a racial slur, when I don't see anyone protesting B.E.T, The Music Industry, and Media for spewing racial slurs all over television, Radio and music Cds. When we (so-called Blacks) stop calling ourselves nigga (er), then we'd have a fighting chance against those that use the "N" word to promote racism & Discrimination.

  • @MrsDomino ALWAYS LISTEN TO THE WHOLE STORY, BECAUSE WHEN YOU THINK YOU OVERSTAND ... YOU REALLY DON'T. THE REACTION IS JUST EMOTIONAL.

  • Thaanks, I guess the use of a word like 'Brother' isn't good enough in rap music. I can hear the old Jewish Record executive..."Mmm, that's not Black enough...throw in a few N bombs and make my money!"

  • @seand67 BLACKS DON'T GET THIS ANGRY AND OFFENSIVE WHEN BLACKS ARE BEATEN & MURDERED BY WHITE COPS! WHERE WAS ALL THIS AGGRESSION WHEN THAT COP PUNCHED THAT BLACK FEMALE? THEY WERE JUST STANDING THERE LOOKING AND LETTING IT HAPPEN

  • @buckeye257 I FEEL WHAT YOU'RE SAYING, BUT NO MATTER HOW YOU SLICE IT... IT STILL COMES UP PEANUTS. :) MY POINT WASN'T FOR WHITES, BUT FOR BLACKS THAT DEGRADE EACH OTHER! EVERY TIME A SO-CALLED BLACK CALL ANOTHER PERSON OF THE SAME NIGGER (NIGGA)--YOU'RE SUBCONSCIOUSLY KEEPING SLAVE CHAINS ON HIS/HER NECKS. WORDS COULD KILL OR GIVE YOU LIFE... SO WHAT KIND OF LIFE DOES THE WORD "NIGGA" GIVE TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF YOUR OWN PEOPLE?

  • stop kissing her behind wrong is wrong no matter who say it.

  • I ain't mad at you Brother.

  • Unfortunately, how she addressed the caller irrespective of the use of the word nigger is the bigger problem, & her perspective on the word nigger was merely a speed bump on the road of ignorance. The conversation has undoubtedly been steered in the direction of the term itself & not the bigger attitude that exists in Amerikkka. Plenty of racist don’t even use the term, so "ALL" ppl focusing on saying or not saying nigger seems very empty & irreverent; a diversion from examining deeper issues.

  • She immediately dismissed the claims from a women concerning the racism she was experiencing in her own life. So basically, we as black folks are so irrational, so illogical, and so unintelligent, so much to the point where we can’t even be trusted to interpret our own lives, so we should let her and her whiteness interpret our reality for us. That’s fundamentally racist even if the word nigger hadn’t been used.

  • I am sensitive to situations like this because i dont have reasons for all of their questions. Nor do I have excuses, but is that ever enough to say to someone who is so eager to know what black people do and what they are all about? """"DR""" Laura being a DR could have said well hon what you can tell them next time this happens is that You dont know go and make some black friends and ask them about their upbringing.

  • The problem I have with the situation is that she the caller said that her husband's friends were being racist or she thought that they were racist, what she failed to do and was not able to do was show a good example for the show she was on. The call then went on to say that it was stereotypical and you come down so hard on Black ppl like we dont have reason to feel this way.

  • Also, being a former Skype broadcaster, I know exactly what this woman felt. She felt like she was the spokewoman for the entire black race which she is not. Do u have you ever had to answer for the reason why black folk like fried chicken? or why are our women (according to their ..) so masculine? or why our sons are being raised to be gangstars and why blackmen love their white women masters so much in an offensive way.? You were probably asked how to do a dance before lol or

  • See the caller NEVER said that her Husbands friends were even using the N word, What she was saying was that her husband's friends were crossing the line. It was never about the N word I listened to Dr. Laura and You are wrong like I thought but hey most black ppl dont have an understanding to begin with. Dr. Laura used this caller for an opportunity to voice her opinion of the N word she never addressed the issue at hand at that time.
