My i-inc IH252HPB a 25 inch "class" monitor's backlight has decided to fail. It will work for a bit and then requires being turned off/on. I contacted support once before about getting it replaced but foolish me decided to wait since I thought that turning the brightness down would stop it. It did stop it for a few weeks at least, but now it is worse than ever and occurring on any brightness setting.

  • again you get what you pay for...hannspree is GARBAGE

  • @ckrazzie bs: I paid $200 for this thing, considering it's 1080p that they gave prompt support that it takes hdmi, actually came with the cables it needed I was well worth the money.

Sure it could be a better panel but bah it's fine.

  • First I should mention that i-inc did the RMA without any hassle and I now have a perfeltly working monitor.

With that out of the way are you sure that you're experiencing the same issue? The blinking in this case is a result of the back light failing. The resolution should not effect this. If you are having problems with your monitor I do suggest you RMA the unit.

  • Can you guys help me ? I have a HannSpree HF257, where can I download drivers for it ? For W7 ? And why won't it run 1080P ?

  • Had the same issue, pretty sure it was the inverter. RMA with no problem at all, and they even sent me a new stand when I noticed they had accidentally broken (either in shipping or in repair). I've got 3 of these now, in a nice eyefinity setup for gaming, my only issue is tigerdirect doesn't sell them any more if I need a replacement!

  • @Technoguy3 HANNS G. and HANNspree are both owned by HannStar Display Corporation from Taiwan.

  • i've had one for the past 3 years and love it. only 1 stuck pixel when i got it and i think it worked itself normal in the meantime. the response time is good as i never have ghosting problems.

one thing i dislike is being stuck at 60hz when running 1920x1080 as i would like 75hz or higher but seeing as i only paid $168 total i'm not complaining.

  • I believe it's made by Hanns. G, not Hannspree. Is there a difference?

  • @warll2 yes nice monitor just hope it last you a long time mine didnt same problem..if you can next time buy a led there better. i saved up and bought 27 in acer led its awesome

  • @KaosProject21 if it doesnt display 1920X1080 it isnt exactly 1080p now is it?

  • @ckrazzie so, if it cant display 1920X1080 it aint exactly 1080p now then is it???

  • @warll2 hope it works out for you.they have lots of websites that sell backlights..im just upset to have to go through this headache, with the blinking monitor
