tomas is a tough one because he recently won, but he, being a bruin, is automatically loved by the league and has only two remotely good seasons in his thirteen or fourteen year career, yet they may hand it to him while he lugs his circular body to a retirement home. and last but not least, carey price. price is in the running aswell considering how much attention he's brought to the league, but he'll probably win the hart trophy since he is the only reason montreal is ahead of the ottawa senat

idk. trophies are exactly like the oscars. if you never have a chance at winning again, they give it to you. if you're near the end of your career and haven't won, they give it to you, if you're dead, they give it to you, and if you're particularly liked by the higher powers (in this case the NHL) they give it to you. henrik will never win it in his career. he's too inconsistent and although he's very good, he's never brought much to the NHL as a player. more to come..

If Price doesn't poke check, it's 4-2 and we got a different ball game. What a great move.

Nice!
Legal payback for the nearly illegitimate penalty shot goal? Pure confidence and swagger from a 23 year old, not many goalies would have the balls to pull that poke check off...

I've always wondered why Carey hasn't poked check more often in the past. I guess it's a matter of confidence! Right now, Price should be a Vezina Trophy candidate along with Thomas and Lundqvist, if he his team makes the playoffs.
