@EMUmonster Clearly he would. He's been asked in the past year as he pushed his book. He hasn't changed his view that this was simply about Saddam being a bad guy. He buys his own bullshit and has no interest or curiosity about the vast money behind this war because he's got his own. This was never about WMD, just oil and power display.

@scott71785 Bush was maybe an idiot, but not a victim. Stop trying to portrait him as such. Bush (or any other US president) would be more than pleased to lie to their own people for unethical purposes (foreign oil, strategic positions, etc). Even today Bush continues to support his actions who have only brought death and destruction to a sovereign nation.

America has a 1000 military bases around the world in hundreds of countries. 3% here, 2 % there, count them up. America needs every drop of it, now and in the future. Next to that, the weapons industry made huge profits and Halliburton build up everything Bush bombed. And the American citizens pay for that while they are getting thrown out of there houses. It's win, win situation. Thank you America for voting these criminals into White House. And again in 2012..

Oil is the lifeblood of the American economy, the US consumes 30% of the world's oil, and oil is vital to sustaining the UK economy as well. For example, ink, CDs, many clothes, make-up, fertilizers, car tyres, plastic and petrol are all manufactured from oil.
