  • right then coffee lovers, I now realise a couple of years on that my coffee making and my old machine are a bit rubbish, so watch this space for a NEW 15 bar coffee machine(thanks hockeychickgirl) and tampering and all that malarkey!

  • Neil needs a 15 bar machine and fresh roasted/ground dark roast coffee and a great tamper. 4 bar won't cut it for crema.

  • HI. I'm afraid you can only make a decent cappucino with an expresso machine. Mine only cost about £30 ($50) and it has served me well for years! Good luck. Neil

  • Neil, quite charming. You performed admirably. I want to make you a real cup of cappucino. Ideally, after you extract the shot of espresso, there should be a layer of thick rich crema (light brown in color) across the top of the shot. Yours may have been a tad under extracted. I don't think it's your fault though. Your machine may be incapable of making a really nice cup.
