KMI Brands have partnered with Oxfam to help support the Shinyanga Project. The project is taking a multiple approach to tackle the issues around education and sanitation; through this project 10,000 people will benefit from improved water and sanitation facilities by:
• Constructing rainwater tanks for four schools.
• Installing latrines for both girls and boys in each of the four schools.
• Building four wells for their communities.
• Train 100 new teachers and provide further training to 368 year one and year two teachers.
• Support 340 existing mentors and train 20 new mentors.
• Supply materials to schools for children with disabilities.
• Produce child-centred teaching guides for every school in Shinyanga.
