Without doubt yes. Satriani and Vai used to jam at Eddies house, and undoubtedly picked up a lot of his style. Plus you cant have Michal Anthony doing backing vocals for Sammy Hagar without it sounding like a Van Halen track regardless of the guitar player. I think this is all a bit of fun for them though, nothing too serious, and will only last for a couple of albums or so, but you never know. Heard the full album now and its groovy :)

The band, though superb, seems like the grand child of Van Halen, which is reasonable given how Eddie tremendously influenced - and definitely influneced the guitar sound - the genre.
