Organist Diane Bish shows just how great she is at not just playing the organ, but composing some incredible music.
From her notes:
"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved. He that keepeth thee will not slumber. He will preserve thy soul from evil."
Psalm 121 is a psalm of trust in God's care and protection. The instruments are as peaceful waters as the women's voices sing a melody of gentleness. The middle section builds in a leading to another organ cadenza of running passages down the keyboard, forte to pianissimo, evil to peace. Evil is overcome and the music returns to tranquility.
@bcschmerker The sheet music to her Symphony of Psalms can be found on her website as well as A symphony of Hymns, another great arrangement by Miss Bish.

This is an excellent use of lyrics from the Authorized Version, as updated during the reign of George II, in a symphony. I presume that The Joy of Music LLC is an affiliate of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers? And who distributes sheet music hereof?
