Hopefully this video can answer all your questions you've ever had about chocobuckle or lucky 7777's in FF7. I try to cover most of the necessary info in the vid, but there are a list of other things people may or may not have questions about.
1. Why do you need lv4 suicide? Because you need to hit a lv16 chocobo with it. This causes the chocobo to do the chocobuckle attack
2. The mu's appear all over the area around chocobo farm. However, i tend to run into them most often on that little dark area of green grass. They can be found elsewhere.
3. You can also get chocobuckle in the area next to the chocobo farm. However, going to the mideel area is MUCH quicker IMO. I spent about 10 minutes around chocobo farm looking for the right choco, left and went to mideel, and found one my second fight! The choco in the mideel area are said to ALL be level 16... i've not tested this out but i do know that the choco that show up with the 2 green slasher monsters are level 16.
4. Going to icicle inn is NOT mandatory. I'm just accustomed to going to this area because its where i built up Vincents kill count. Plus, if you use a turbo controller it's easier to get "hung" on the corner of the upper level. With the constant walking i've slipped away and wandered into spots where cloud stopped moving. So when i came back later he had just been sitting there.... chillin' and not doing me any good.
5. If you've escaped a few times before starting the escape spam, then you should calculate about how many times you'll need to escape. I typically would check my escape count after running out of MP.
6. Lucky 7777's works only once per battle. Even if it happens to a different character than previously had lucky 7777's

That's all i can think of. if you have questions please post, rate and comment! Check out my other vidz as well!

this tip came from myktrue in one of the comments on this video! Thanks for the advice myk!
"Use HP-MP Switch so you can get 620 escapes in before you run out of MP - you may want another (sneak attack - exit) or so just to ensure that you will exit. With only 4 combos equipped 1 / 625 fights you will not use with your current setup. With 5 combos equipped it would be 1 / 3125 and with 6 it is 1 / 15000 etc... You could also have another character equipped with (final attack - phoenix) and calculate the exact MP needed to reach your goal and get that amount of MP using Ether and spells. "

  • did you really have to change Cid's name to Syd...

  • @bigwrench01 Yep. because i'm a fan of Syd Barrett. Imagine my surrpise when i played this game and there was a guy named Cid and another named Barret

  • if you do that its really amazing strategy.

  • @ucavalcante its fun! completely worth it but you gotta be careful to never escape again! not that heard though
