Very rare footage of the original Stooges performing "1970" at the Goose Lake festival in Michigan circa 1970.

How can you call Goose Lake a "bummer" if you weren't there? GL was the Caligula of festivals.

I WAS there. Man, that was a long day. Michigan State Police were everywhere. There wasn't any drugs. Just kids, a massive amount, camping with no idea as to why they were there. It got really wild. The Stooges were the dogs bollocks. I think SRC and some other forget-abouts played as well. Maybe The Frost. Maybe Frigid Pink.

You can see Dave was holding his bass in front of his amps. The announcer, or someone, says one of the Stooges freaked out, and jumped over the fence. And had lost power to the amp? Very strange.

This brings back some very fond memories... I was a mere 16 years old when I went to the Goose Lake festival and I will never forget it! (Or perhaps I mean... I will never remember it)
Thanks for this post!
