This track is a stripped down version that Jay-Z and Alicia Keys did. This track Alicia Keys plays the song solo on piano.
The song is called,"Empire State of Mind" off the "Element of Freedom" Deluxe Edition Part 2.
I purchased this CD and always thought this song was great.
I always wanted to do this song as a project and record my own drum feel to it.
Congratulations to the New York Giants Win.
With everything that has happened to New York in the past I felt a pride to start this song off with a marching drum feel. Real simple but cool.
Then I add my own original drumming to most of the song till her drummer comes in at the end.
This type of version has never been heard before. The footage at the end was a free download to professional video editor/customers.
So I wanted to add a few shots of New York at the end.
Note: You Tube! you can take this video down if you think there is any copyright issues.I do want to stay in good standings and I understand. On the good side I did purchase the song and I wrote 95% of the drum track except at the ending part.
