superanti spyware pro part1 - finding the algo :)

in this video i show you how i would go about finding the algo for this program and then i walk you through a keygen i pre-wrote in ruby. when you find the algorithm the only thing that stands between you and valid keys is an inverse :).

qword thing...

for example lets say a qword were 6 bits and a dword were 3 bits

well 45 in binary is 101101 lets say that were the product of the multiplication... we need the dword answer and not the qword. so we would cut out the first half of the binary leaving us with
101 being 5 in decimal.. the only way to do this conversion that i know of is to first convert to binary.. if anyone knows how to do this conversion without going to binary first please by all means inform me :)

About the qword to dword, you can do it using a bitwise AND.

VB --> A = A AND 4294967295 (4294967295 decimal = 0xFFFFFFFF)

C# -> A = A & 0xFFFFFFFF; (Use only one "&". "&&" it´s not bitwise)

i use instant demo :) and i encode with xvid. i used to encode techsmith but the files were 4 times bigger for almost the same quality as xvid :)

Hi great Vids watched them all some of your ollydbg 2 videos wont play just keep spinning the loading thingy so dont know why that is, im struggling with restorator2007 been trying for 3 days in ollydbg201 last release to get past the 30 day trial once ive expired the program it dosent run it only displays the expired box, can you do a tut for it as i could see how its done by a pro and kick myself.

So should all software asking for a serial have the GetDlgItemTextA because I can't find it in any of the executable modules except shell32 which has nothing to do with the program I am looking at?
