Once I was playing MTGO with the old client and someone came into casual and was like "check out this song I just made." It was this song, but the lyrics were different, maybe a first cut. I can't remember the guys screen name.

On that one, the second verse was like, "I see you sittin there, with you shirt of Akroma, eyein me up, assumin I'm a stoner." On the tron part, he said, "They call it the tron, I just turned it on, now I'm makin makin' mana till the breaka breaka dawn."

@ridiculousdonny The more unrelated rhymes like the "stoner" one didn't need to be around anymore just to pad in space; I had other songs to explore different ideas (like the "draft Chinese with Ken Krouner" line became "Don't Drink and Draft"). The Tron line is still in there, though- it closes the second verse!

@ridiculousdonny Yep, that was me. You caught me right back at the start of Tha Gatherin, about three years ago; when I made my first few tracks I thought I was just making a couple for fun, and those were indeed first cuts. Then I started making more and we turned it into a full project; having a whole album to work with meant I could re-record the early tracks into more focused ideas, didn't have to jump around so much and cram all my ideas into one song!

I won't lie, i thought this album was an awful idea, but I stand corrected. This was so much better than expected, and I'm pretty sure I'll be picking it up now. Nice work!
