Perhaps it would serve Mr. Ergen well to inform himself a bit better before he makes public statements like this one. I can produce more than two years of bills where I AM specifically charged $10 PER MONTH for HD channels. Never pay more for HD channels my back side! I wonder if he noticed the fine print that is supposed to be somehow superseding his words? I think there has to be a class action lawsuit in this one!

This is a joke. I called Dish after I saw this ad and they want me to pay $99 in order to drop my $10 fee for HD.

Charlie, you don't know what you're talking about. Comparing Color TV to High defintion television is like comparing apples and oranges. When you were growing up a color tv DID COST more than a black and white one. And by the time cable and satellite tv. became available to most Americans, ALL programming with the exception of old movies and TV shows were broadcast in color. Is Charlie Ergen so mentally challenged as to say the HD should not be on seperate channels? Come on.

Notice the teeny tiny caption about their restrictions comes on at second 17 and goes off at second 22 just as he is saying they don't charge like other companies. Hmmmm

Sounds like false advertising to me! I called DISH after I saw this add to have them take off the $10/mo billing we are being charged for HD. Got the song and dance about paying a fee or signing up for 24 months, doing paperless billing, ect. That is not FREE. Come on Charlie Ergen. Keep your word and take off the monthly charge!

Charlie Ergan is a LIAR! He says they don't charge a fee for HD "EVER!" But as of my August 2010 bill, I am still being charged the $10 a month fee. And the only way to not pay the HD monthly fee is to pay a one-time $99 fee. Still sounds like an HD fee to me. Or I must sign a 2-year contract so that if I leave Dish Network before then I have to pay a giant fee. So essentially this advertisement is another corporate LIE!.
