Black night is fallin'
Oh how I hate to be alone
Black night is fallin'
Oh how I hate to be alone
I keep crying for my baby
And there ain't another day is gone

I have no one to talk with
To tell my trouble to
My baby gone and left me
Someone tell me what more, what more can I do

Black night is fallin'
Oh how I hate to be alone
I keep crying for my baby
And there ain't another day is gone

Yeah

I have no one to talk with
To tell my trouble to
My brother's in Iraq
And I don't know, don't know what to do

Black night is fallin'
Oh how I hate to be alone
Keep crying for my baby
And there ain't another day is gone

Look at here

Goodbye baby
Oh God, I sure do hate to go
Goodbye baby, yeah
Oh God, I sure do hate to go

  • A slow blues in 3:28 that is absolutely concise and completely masterful. Snooks is one of my personal heros. What a fantastic solo he plays here. Hearing Snooks play live maybe 20x was as enjoyable as anyone, particularly when he had George Porter Jr. and Jellybean Alexander with him. You'd look around the room and everyone from 18-80 was enjoying the hell out of him, women and men equally. The breadth of his repertoire was stunning. What a musician.

  • @StrappedGypsy WAYYYYY overlooked...Amen to that.

  • à écouter en boucle :))

  • this guy is GREAT.What a voice and guitar style.

Need to get much more credit.

  • come back baby, I want to hear that by Snooks on you tube and also drifter blues, trouble in mind everyday I have the blues... Heard that in England back in the 60s would love to hear that again. With a little help from my friends!

  • Some great photos of Snooks that really capture him well, particularly those unique hands that were the key to his style and sound. You will notice his right hand is usually a blur and you almost never can really tell what he is doing with it. His left hand shows this amazing multi-fret reach he had with those long fingers. I saw him play hundreds of times many of them less than 10 feet away and I could still never really see what he was doing well enough to be able to steal any of his licks.

  • @StrappedGypsy you're right ,you say Snooks Eaglin to most people and they're like WHO? If they only knew :)

  • Greatist Guiter playっす。

  • Big talent...and one of the best on the Tele..he could jam on and on.
