@Jmashley73 I have also used contact cement to add leather to my hold fasts and I agree it grips great and saves requiring to always place scraps between the hold fast and work piece.

Sweet! The real beauty of this bench is how it successfully addresses the requirements of the process/workflow. I don't work this way so I wont build one but it's is a great example of form fitting function.

That hook is just in the way and it puts the legs on that end too far inboard. You have a vise, ditch the hook. Otherwise, it's a very nice bench.

Really cool looking execution! I've been looking at building one of these after seeing it on popwood.com, waiting for the ECE planes to get in to start rolling. Will most certainly check yr blog.
Cheers!

Brilliant and tenacious build. I've also read your very informative blog all 16 parts. Thank you for sharing.
A tip for your hold-fasts... Use some spray- contact cement adhesive, and glue a small piece of scrap leather (i used a old worn out shoe leather) to the pad of your hold-fasts. It'll actually improve the grip, and you won't need a scrap to prevent damaging your workpiece. I'd suggest this for the vise chop as well. Best of luck, nice bench, and great video...
