What FPS do you get at 2560x1440 if all setting is max out? cheers

@illes79 It's not that playable but it depends where in the world you fly. Using the Cessna 172SP at the default location - LOWI Innsbruck, I was getting between 20 - 30fps. At my local airport - EGHI Southampton, it went from 19fps (reported but it was much less) to 30fps. Settings @ 2560x1440 Anti-Alias 2x Forest Density = Tree Hugger World Distance = High Objects = T Insane Roads = T insane Airport Detail = T Insane Traffic = LA Downtown Water = Complete Anisotropic = 8x All options ticked.

@andrewmoore2 thanks !  I'm hesitating between the 2010 top spec 27 imac or the latest 2011 27 imac. the only game I play is xplane :) I guess u get much better FPS if you lower some setting, the only thing I don't wanna lower is the resolution. what FPS do u normally get with you normal settings?

@illes79 At full screen res at my local airport, it doesn't drop below 65fps but often hits 80 - 90fps.

But this all depends on how you have the rest of the settings.

If you want to give me your preferred settings and location, I'll give it a go and let you know.

Settings @ 2560x1440 -

Forest = populated, world distance = medium, objects, roads and airport = default, traffic = none, water = default, anisotropic = 4x, balloons and birds unchecked. Everything else is at it was before.
