  • The ensemble has Great voices and keep in tune all over the piece, however this composition does not include any glissando or portamento in its score. I would suggest to research a little about the piece and the music from the Venezuelan plains to help putting the interpretation more in context with Estevez's original concept. Also, the duet in the first part of the piece is not as written by Estevez's. I would suggest a more closer to the original score interpretation.

  • @oaquique70 I trust and support our director's decision to take artistic license, but I respect your opinion also. Thank you for commenting.

  • It is ok to trust your director (I would do the same), and at the same time I would encourage to do more research. Antonio Estévez was a composer and conductor that was very strictly against "creative license". He always requested his works to be executed exactly as he wrote them -just sharing this-. Creative license needs to be dosified so it doesn't modify the original work (note this is not a song but an original composition) and as such should be monolithic.
