We had to pull wire from the Georgia Power Transformer to the building where we just installed service for two small stores in the "strip mall" next to Publix. In order to do it Georgia Power had to kill power to the mall while we worked. They waited for us to finish. They are the two guys in the white hard hats in this video. The rest of the guys are the crew I work with. And a motley crew we were because we had to come in early to do this today.
This is 500 mcm copper wire, really heavy and it is in the 20's and cold as hell.
This was shot in time lapse photography with my Canon G9 camera. So it is a little fast pased and we were working fast to get the power back on also.....well, semi fast. LOL
Just another day on the job.
