Arguably the most powerful song Marvin Gaye has ever recorded. He prophesizes his bout with one of the demons that would eventually bring forth his demise. I remember my parents playing his "What's Going On" album when i was young, and his songs have always stuck with me. Just thought I'd share it. Enjoy!

The key phrase is: "So stupid minded.." I once asked an alcoholic advice on quiting smoking and he said "Don't start." That can apply for any toxic substance and yes the 60's were different and we'll never get them back and things like that shit should stay in the past. Peace

This song speaks to me deeply, being that I'm struggling with an addiction to oxycodone and heroin. Unless you've experienced it first hand, it's hard to comprehend the intensity and soul crushing power of opiate addiction. Truly, I'm hooked my friend, to the boy that makes slaves of men.

@chillydotjeff - This song appears on WHAT'S GOING ON, as do many of his best songs. Definately an album every music fan should own.
