How do you ground the secondary coil exactly? What is the RF ground? Does it attach to the negitive line of the NST?

nice. im looking at making a tesla coil. but im not all that good with electrics. i know the basics. But i have a few qiestions that are yet to be answered. maybe u could answer them. Because this is my first tesla coil i want to make it small but still be powerfull enough for the spark brakeout. also i would like to be able to touch the sparks without killing my self or seriously hurting my self. what would you recommend for the voltage, current, size, wire thickness and amount of turns? thanks

What you have done is WONDERFUL----However----You should expect a visit/RAID/THREAT from the CIA---or some HUGE Government AUTHORITY.
Sad but true, the powers that be do not want WONDERFUL INVENTIONS like this made known to the public. It decreases their ability to control the populus.

@peggyyes
Thanks for looking
Fortunately, in this respect, I am not in the USAand I HOVE a government licence to carry out such experiments
It was not intended to cover TESLA COILS but, by accident, it does legally cover them

NO ! the RF earth is a REAL ground e.g. a copper rod driven iti the soil ( or suitable alternateive e.g. a girder.)
The NST only connects to the primary side of the circuit - via he other components
The tesla coil is a special form of TRANSFOMER
These circuits can kill - however, if you need help e-mail me privately rather than
blow your house wiring or hurting yourself

YOU MUST NOT CONNECT THE SECONDARY TO THE NST!
RF ground is a real ground .... a 3 ft or more, copper rod driven into the ground (earth/soil) .
The NST is ONLY connected to the primary coil via the Caps, spark gaps ( + filter) etc. If you need help e-mail me privately - These circuits CAN KILL!

i was wondering if there would be a way to make a tesla coil but instead of just having free flowing electricity would there be a way to focus that electricity onto a certain point...say down a barrel

I think you are trying to attempt Ronald Reigans RAY GUN - - I have not done any of the following or know any more than the theoretical information such as: High voltages can be contained and directed by using high magnetic fields e.g. CRT and Magnatrons /cyclotrons.
But sending the sparks down a barrel as such is not feasable
