These girls, all ages 10-13, live at Shangilia Mtoto Wa Africa (Rejoice Child of Africa). They all formerly lived on the streets of Nairobi. Shangilia uses the performing arts as a basis for the rehabilitation of these children.
This video was taken during the Musicians for World Harmony visit of 2007, when eight Music Therapy students from Berklee College of Music visited Shangilia and shared music with the kids.
