Sayyid Al Istighfar

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The below du'a is known as the Sayyid al-Istighfar and is the most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah

The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said

سيد الاستغفار ان تقول اللهم انت ربي لااله الا انت خلقتني وانا عبدك وانا عبدك و انا على عهدك ووعدك ماستطعت اعوذبك من شر ما صنعت وابوء لك بنعمتك علي وايوءلك بذنبي فاغرلي فانه لايغفر الذنوب الا انت قال ومن قالها من النهار موقنا بها فمات من يومه قبل ان يمسي فهو من اهل الجنة ومن قالها من اليل وهو موقن بها فمات قبل ان يصبح فهو من اهل الجنة

Whoever says it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلا أَنْتَ

English Tajweed

Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana 'ala ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, A'udhu bika min Sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u Laka bini'matika 'alaiya, wa Abu'u Laka bidhanbi faghfirli fainnahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta

English Translation

(O Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You)

I have listened to this Man and fell in love with his voice MASHALLAH.... I couldnt find his name anywhere.

I found it al7amdulillah. His name is Mahmoud Rifai.

His voice puts me to sleep and helps me with my problems :)
