  • @1XNoScoperX1 I won't act like I know you; what I said of your character was just "educated" conjecture, but your comment has truly left me sad. Ignorance is the willful decision to refuse to learn and you have refused to learn about hip-hop, the real meaning of "thug life", or about the way people with different skin-colors interact among each other and with others. One last thing: the word nigger has no place in the modern world as an insult. Borrowing your words - time to grow up.

  • @1XNoScoperX1 Maybe you've tried to listen and couldn't handle it. Or maybe you dismissed it as the infantile work of an uneducated nigger. I won't speak on all of hip-hop because there is surely poorly-crafted hip-hop, songs that are misguided and neither uplift nor accurately portray reality. But that is the same with any medium, be it literature, television (especially), film, or another genre of music. You just happen to hear only the worst of hip-hop on the radio.

  • @1XNoScoperX1 Thug life is the manifestation of the American dream, the lone, individual man who will stop at nothing to gain. The "thug" as Gibbs and Shakur has described him is the man who must sacrifice, and accept the disheartening facets of his life as he strives to improve it through material gain, knowing full well that there is more to life than money, but that money must come first. That is the reflection of America, in all it's imperfection and poetry.

  • @1XNoScoperX1 If "thug life" seems ignorant to you, it's because you don't understand it. When Freddie Gibbs says it, like Tupac Shakur before him, he is not glorifying "gang life". "Thug life" is not ignorance and it is not even necessarily violent. "Thug life" is the opposite of gang life, which is to surround yourself with people who will not motivate you because you are afraid of failing.

  • @1XNoScoperX1 You say you're disgusted, but you use the phrase "our race" as if you can't even see that people with different skin colors all belong to the same race, the human race. And that is truly disgusting. Your advice is to "get an education", but you fail to realize in all your educated blackness that a good education is not available to everyone. You tell people to grow up but you are the biggest child of them all - you have nowhere to direct your anger so you throw a tantrum online.

  • @1XNoScoperX1 Just assuming that the culture has a "bad reputation" is an example of your self-hatred. You are ashamed to be a black man because you see these other black men and think they are below you, while at the same time, you're one of them. That's why you're lashing out at a random video. But calling another black man a nigger doesn't change that does it? If an "education" makes you a black man with an identity crisis, is it really as valuable as you claim?

  • @1XNoScoperX1 Using the phrase "people like you" proves that you are not a properly educated black man. That is the perpetuation of ignorance, as you phrase it. Not to mention, the fact that you think being a black man gives you authority on "black culture" is absurd. Black culture is not limited to emceeing and no one in their right mind would think that, so the talented man rhyming in this video is not the reason the culture "gets such a bad reputation from the rest of the world."
