Traxxas Rustler VXL Massive Wheelies and High Speed Runs

My rustlers finally here and after hitting some dirt i decided to test the speed and wheelie capabilites on this thing. Upgrades include Integy alloy wheelie bar

Is this with the stock gearing?

My Vxl does wheelies sometimes, but not like that , I wonder why ?

@CastleParkArcade1 Yeah its stock gearing and stock battery. There can be two reasons why. Nimh lose peak power very quickly try running lipos you will be very satisfied. And your spur gear is most likely set up too loose. Take off the plastic circular bit in the middle of the gear cover. hold the wheels and tighten the nut 1/4 turn at a time. But not too tight so it doesn't strip the gears. 1/2 turn away from fully tightened is usually best.

@CastleParkArcade1 Yep, just put it on a high friction carpet and hit the throttle, You should be able to hear the high pitched whirring sound the of spur gear spinning. To be safe factoy settings are for nearly a metre you can hear this noise, I set it up so that I can hear it for 40cm and then it takes off normally. Alternatively you can simply hold it back on a normal road and punch it. You dont want any wheelspin just the spur spinning.

Hey ive had the normal rustler for years great car but i just upgraded it to the vxl and i used the lipo batterys you should try and make a video
